It's a universal solution because it connects through the antenna, it's nothing more than a hardwired FM modulator that uses RDS technology to get track names across to the headunit.

weird- unless i missed something according to their wbsite it only displays information on the radio. it didn't say anything about playing the ipod music??

it says it plays music from your ipod through the factory radio and shows song. It doesnt say you use the factory radio to control the music on the ipod. It also does not work with porsche radios it says.

Nick, It's a universal solution because it connects through the antenna, it's nothing more than a hardwired FM modulator that uses RDS technology to get track names across to the headunit. You get no control of your ipod through the Porsche headunit controls. There are also a lot of wireless FM transmitters that will send across RDS data. You don't get the best fidelity with an FM signal... that's why a fiber solution like the Dension or Navtv is preferred. - Suneet
