Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

I know the feeling - have spent a whole day trying to replace the bulb that illuminates the oil pressure gauge - broke the flasher switch in the process and cost me £30!
Leading evidence: 'Replace bulb' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace bulb' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

cant get hazard switch out! Help
Trying to fit a new switch which means getting into clocks, need to get hazard switch out to get to screw. Removed red cover but cant get switch out. I have a leather surround on the facia around the button hole and think this is fouling the switch but can seem to get this off????
if you're got all the facia surrounds out from around it should come out unless thee is something else holdig it ?
not taken out the switch, but when I switch radios units I have to take out the entire centre, air con et al, to get it it properly
It's pretty easy. You've just got to get a screwdriver behind the plastic lip. Be carefull with the leather surrounding it though. It takes a bit of pressure to get it off but then will pop right off. From Rennlist...
'Removing the "floating" dashboard which contains the instruments:
This is accomplished by removing just two T-20 long torx screws. One is under the microphone circle at the left side and one is under the emergency flasher switch. The microphone circle can be removed by taking a paper clip and making a small 1/8" hook on the end with a longnose pliers. Insert the hook through one of the central slits, rotate and pull it right off. The emergency switch pulled out with a fingernail to start and then firm pulling and very gentle rocking with 2 fingers. Two parts fall out - the switch button and housing. You now have access to the two torx screws. The left screw was unscrewed and then retrieved with a magnetic-tipped tool so it didn't drop into the cluster. The right screw is a no-brainer. Now lift up on the floating dashboard and it pops off.'
got it, finally, and it hit me in the face when it sprung off!
