Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

One of my rear fog lights is not working I have changed the buld but still no joy. Never had a car that need an MOT so is this a must to pass? I know the basics would be needed but one is in working order. Otherwise it got to be booked in before the MOT. Or any idea Cheers Richard

POST 2Original post

For some strange reason Porsche in their infinate wisdom put a bulb in both sides but only one side is wired! So as long as you have one working you will be ok! Not sure if it is something to do with left/right hand drive??? Anyone know??

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for that, does seem stupied to do that

POST 4Original post

RHS/ off side must be working, or centrally placed... Excuses for no longer doing the rear fog lights in pairs it to stop any confusion with brake lights.... nothing to do with saving money :? garyw

POST 5Original post

The law requires all vehicles to have one rear fog light - your car will fail the MOT otherwise. Logic says that it should be the offside - I think that's the one which is wired. Every car I've ever owned has only had one rear fog light.
