I have run them 24/7 however, I am going to see if I can modify them slightly to bring the volume down slightly. I do feel that the noise of with bypass pipes is slightly disproportionate to the performance of the car...

There is no limit for the MOT test. The potential problem is if your neighbours complain to the police and they count it as causing a nuisance.

Should be a slight gain in Bhp due to reduced back pressure but ropier tick over for the same reason. Weight loss isn't huge but every bit counts - better to buy lighter wheels and lose mass that is un-sprung which has an effect of 3 to 5 times that of losing sprung weight.

I run them 24/7 on a 993 turbo, and yes they are loud, there are multiple videos on you tube that you can hear them, but in real life they are loud
