Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have replaced my radio with an Eclipse AVN2210p. (me: 97 Boxster/old radio CR210 w/factory amp) Everything appears to function properly but I have no sound. I recall reading something about an output from my radio that is needed to turn on my amplier; could this be my problem? I have been unable to find the post that mentioned it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ken

POST 2Original post

You are exactly right. You need to connect the wire that turns on the amp. Your new radio should have a wire which you can connect to the factory harness. I had the exact same problem with my Pioneer AVIC. Its a simple fix.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
