Might be selling the 996 Place your dibs now for parts!

Hi all Just like the title says, I might be selling my 04 CA2 996. The car has some goodies on it, so reply here and let me know what parts you might want to buy. As I said this is a maybe, just waiting to find out from Lambo if I can get what I want when I want. This may or may not go thru so , just to save some BS we can talk about pricing after I find out. If you are not sure what parts I have, its simple anything I have done will be getting undone. There is a link on my sig , you can check there for more info. Just to recap................There may not be a sale.

Gallardo? If so, did you see the recent limited Edition version, very nice!!! I think Audi has done a great job with the company and the car.

I'm interested in two more cylinders. Let me know if that would be a problem.

I might be interested in the Sport Design wheels.

Interested in skirts, Carbon shifter, carbon handbrake. edit- also interested in some of the interior AS painted pieces.

I'll take the front fenders and headlights Actually the speakers and Amp would be on my list - not sure what you have in there but it's got to be better than my stock stuff

i'll take the engine, headlights, fenders, housings, and most importantly: the clear corners lol..jk, but seriously, skirts and clear corners woudn't be too bad. and would you take a trade on rims/rubber? i've got new tires all around.

Ok All I have this all written down, still waiting you know those Italian car makers, last i heard was this " you will know when we tell you" nice attitude huh?, OK really as soon as i know And Dead eye , what do you have for rims?

Maybe the Carbon shifter, Alum Handbrake, Silver Gauge Rings and Clear side markers... and are you going to bother taking out the alum gauges (are they in KM/H?)?

hey killer, what's the point of selling the car and then buying wheels for it? do you know what a slip angle is? do you know how to deal w/ understeer? does the word 'gmund' tell you anything? how about 'fuhrman'? keep us posted when you pick up the glorified 'uber audi' so we can figure out when you're gonna make up your mind on selling or not selling your parts/car.

Damn, should've been paying close attention. I'm interested in the carbon fiber shifter if the others fall through. Good luck with the Lambo.

yeah lemme kno when u decide 2 get it too i was going 2 get a test drive in one later on next week and considering buying on based on that. let me know what your driving impressions are. in all honesty...i don't know about keeping an italian car in the long run (or any super car for that matter...cept as a $ making opportunity.in which case the be all and end all is usually a new ferrari model). the only exception to this rule would probably be a porsche..or something that i'd keep for sentimental reasons. do any of you happen to know what the market is like on newer lambo's (murcialago's/gallardo's?).

If the PSE is something you added afterwards and you can replace with your stock cans, I'd be interested in those. Or alternatively, I could swap you my stocks for your PSE (+ cash, of course.....) Thanks, David

do you still have the stock, oem parts? just like with older 911's, those parts will end up being worth much more than the "fast and the furious" pieces. are you interested in selling the whole car as a package or are you definitely trying to recoup some of your $$ by uninstalling and selling the bling?

I do have all of the OEM parts, the fact of the matter (here in canada) anyways, the car is worth more Factory stock, then with all the "bling" I will sell all of the "fast and the furious" not to recoup some of the money but to give Fellow rennlisters the chance to buy some good product at a very low price.I would much rather sell the car "as is" , but what do you know Lamborghini, knows nothing of Porsches , except to them its been modified,meaning they want the car stock ..with no "bling"...man i really hate that word when someone descibes my Porsche.

well, you may have a hard time avoiding it if you start tarting up the Lambo too as far as 996's value, it's understandable for them to want it stock, but other than the Gemballa parts, suspension, short shift, and the stereo, the GT3 pieces *look* oem, probably w/ Porsche part #'s- are they? If they are, you may explain that the wheels were a "faux GT3 look option" as well as the door sills.

I tried to tell them that most of the stuff was OEM, They told me , it would be best if the car came to them , the way I picked it up,..............My reply was this " That was boring "...

it probably means that they wanted to have a car w/ correctly installed parts, by the factory... you should have told them that you'll be probably doing the same thing to the lambo since most tractor manufacturers are all similarly boring. After all, you're just switching from one agricultural manufacturer to another
