Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

SEE CORRECTION BELOWI replaced the flexible drive shaft that works the up-down of my driver seat today because it was cracked and falling off. During the check out I noticed that if I pushed the end of the switch in the pic, the shaft would spin clockwise when looking at it face on. When I push the other end of the switch I hear a relay clicking but no anti- clockwise spinning. Am I going to be looking for a new switch assembly?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Correction: I misunderstood the switch Let me restate. When I push down on the switch as demonstrated in the picture, the shaft spins clockwise. When I lift up on that same end of the switch, there is no clicking of relay and no anti clockwise spinning. It just seems dead.

POST 3Original post

Good luck finding a new seat switch. Uber unobtainium...maybe at a dismantler.

I thought I might just buy a whole new switch panel for the seat. $200-$400 depending on used or new
