Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As posted elsewhere, it's a good idea to use a leather conditioner on your seats to prevent cracking etc.

One thing I do when getting out is to use my left hand to push down against the lower door treashhold to relieve presure against the rear side of the seat.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

My car is only a few weeks old and I am getting a lot of creases on the side where I get in and out of the car. Do you find the same?

POST 3Original post

9000 miles and not a single crease here. I have been quite surprised because creases in the leather are normal over time. But in just a few weeks? I would think the leather should just look like new in such a short period of time I guess it all just depends on the actual piece of leather considering it is a natural substance.

POST 4Original post

Dare I say it might be how wide the person using the seat is, and also how careful they are during ingress/egress. I am relatively thin, and my stock seats show only the smallest amount of wear on the bolster at 6K miles. I get into the car butt first, then pull my legs in.

POST 6Original post

No problems with mine and have 10,000 miles. One thing I do when getting out is to use my left hand to push down against the lower door treashhold to relieve presure against the rear side of the seat. Getting out is when the left side of the seat will get the most wear.

POST 7Original post

As posted elsewhere, it's a good idea to use a leather conditioner on your seats to prevent cracking etc.

POST 9Original post

I think that it depends on the leather as well. The supple leather in my cayman with 4000 miles has a few creases. The regular leather in my 911 with 15000 miles....no creases. I get in and out of both cars in the same manner.

POST 10Original post

I put my hand on the side when I get out of the car. I need to post some pics to show you guys.
