My CS (dec 05 build) with 3900 miles developed the oft-described clutch problem--took it to the dealer and they confirmed the "clutch plate" was destroyed and the "transmission bolts" were loose and said they'd fix what needs to be fixed. they also said they saw an oil leak from an "intermediate seal" and said they would replace the boots on the seals that are leaking.
my question is, is that enough? do i need to specifically ask them to inspect/replce anything in particular?
seems a lot of work for a new car with no miles...
For the transmission problem, you should insist they replace the clutch, pressure plate, and even fly wheel, if there's any marks on it at all. Have them check the slave cylinder, and the slave cylinder seals, too.
I don't know of an "intermediate" seal that has boots - new one on me. After they fix the leak, ask them for a procedure for keeping tabs on this intermediate seal leak so you know it's been fixed. Like - is there a certain mileage after the repair that you should bring it back in and have them check to make sure the repair has worked?
Yes, lots of work for a car with few miles, but not unheard of - a few cars have had the same loose pressure-plate bolts problem. That's what the warranty is for - as lame as that sounds, I guess.

thaks, that's good advice. i will make sure to specify that this is not an isolated event, been reported on many of the earlier builds etc and make sure they make the car/me whole.
on the oil leak--i plan on making them show me what they are talking about and where, and documenting that i want an inspection in say 1000 miles etc.
update--it's been a while since i've posted--been busy!
anyway, they tore apart the transmission and said all they needed to do was tighten things up. 'not a scratch on anything". the oil leak turns out to have been an axel boot--they replaced it and topped off the oil. all done under warranty and they gave it a nice wash to make me happy...which it did..
