Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Bought my Cayman S used about a month ago w/ 4k mi and have now noticed a little "play" to the left and right while shifter is in gear.. Is this a normal part of the break in or should I be concerned? I normally wouldn't even bring it up, but it jsut seems like such a noticable difference in the last week.

POST 2Original post

mine feels loose in first gear and i only have 400 miles

POST 3Original post

If you are unsure, get it checked out at the dealer, as it is still under warranty.

POST 4Original post

it's normal... in my '06 I started noticing it after I put in the BM shifter and thought it was my install, but the new '07 has it too. but it's only like 2mm to the left\right; i suspect only those who rest there hand on the shifter notice it. - Suneet
