Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
In the OP's case, he's got to replace both drop links anyway, so he may as well make them both adjustable.
Leading evidence: 'Replace drop links anyway' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace drop links anyway' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
If I'm running GT3 coilovers on a C2 at GT3 heights then would it simply need standard GT3 length drop links?

Suggestion
Does anyone know if there is any benefit to using the proper GT3 ARB hangers for the drop links vs the standard Carrera pinch bolt method?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You'll need different anti roll bar droplinks. Make your own by buying the parts from McGill Motorsport.
You'll get the bonus of them being adjustable too, so you can ensure there's no tension in the bar itself at static ride height.
Turnbuckles here (you'll need M8 items) :

You'll need to establish the correct length.
Rod ends here :

Tip, don't skimp on the quality, buy the best and they'll last. Buy cheap and they'll be worn and rattling in no time at all.
Alignment spacers here :

Many thanks for sharing this, I've been looking for this stuff since seeing poppopbangbang posting something similar over on

McGill are great to deal with too
Another tip. If you've already got a 996 GT3, technically you only need one adjustable drop link to enable the adjustment required to ensure there's no tension in the roll bar at static ride height. In the OP's case, he's got to replace both drop links anyway, so he may as well make them both adjustable.
Timely thread as I'm also just about to pick up a set of 996 GT3 coilovers as I'm thinking of switching out my Koni SA/Eibach combo for something with height adjustment and some posher damping.
Does anyone know if there is any benefit to using the proper GT3 ARB hangers for the drop links vs the standard Carrera pinch bolt method? Better geometry etc?
I'm also intending to pull together my own adjustable links (many thanks Slippydiff for the McGill links!) but I'm trying to figure out the turnbuckle lengths ahead of time. If I'm running GT3 coilovers on a C2 at GT3 heights then would it simply need standard GT3 length drop links?
My PistonHeads research suggests that the standard, non adjustable GT3 drop links, have a size of 160mm between centres on the rear and the fronts are 180mm between centres.
Can anyone else confirm that?
OP - You'll likely need to turn the height collars lower than the GT3 setting as the wheel carriers are different on the C2. Adjustable rear toe control may be required depending on your ride height if toe can't be dialed in to 30' / .50 deg total or less. A call to Center Gravity might be fruitful. Good luck with the project!
Now this is info I need, I intend to fit the suspension myself, I know about the different wheel carriers, it would be great if someone had some pictures, I'm ordering a set of adjustable coffin arms and contemplating sway bars. I've never worked on a Porsche so this is uncharted territory.
