Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T044418Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm finally back in a 911 after a decade in the wilderness. Sold my last 993 C2S in 2013 (for a now shockingly low £), to a very nice guy on this forum. Spent the next 10 years with nothing other than family wagons and a coupe of moderately interesting motorbikes. Always liked the 4s the best of the 996's, and (perhaps I'm kidding myself) feels like they're getting to the point of modern classic...? Found my ideal spec - seal grey, sports seats, PCM (I like the old tech.), sports exhaust etc - all the stuff that floats my particular boat. It's a 1 owner car from new. Been well looked after by OPC East London. Picked it up on Saturday from a guy with a nice collection of other bits.... It's like it just came off the production line.. Am enjoying it so far. Just saying hello....

POST 2Original post

Who doesn't like a 996 C4S? I know I do! Lovely car

POST 3Original post

It looks a beaut' and in amazing condition considering it's been properly used. ps. It's definitely a modern classic. Seal grey is the best 996 colour too.

POST 4Original post

Looks immense, always comforting to know the previous owner didn't scrimp on anything. If his collection is anything to go by.

POST 5Original post

Your new C4S does indeed look just like NEW.... ENJOY.. :thumb:

POST 8Original post

Looks lovely, I presume you got a bit of discount based on the recent MOT, only things to check for is the two leaks, one could be the IMS so keep an eye it. Test location View test location MOT test number 6729 2923 9096 Expiry date 1 February 2024 Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Power steering pipe/hose has slight seepage power steering pipes to steering rack union (2.1.5 (a)) Supplementary restraint system warning lamp does not illuminate (7.1.6 (a)) Nearside Front Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing slightly cracking between treads (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) Offside Front Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing slightly cracking between treads (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) Oil leak, but not excessive slight engine oil leak (8.4.1 (a) (i))

POST 9Original post

Looks gorgeous, who cares if the non believers still don't rate the 996 just cheaper for those who know that it is the best

POST 10Original post

Nice find.... always looks great in that colour. I've got some lovely wheels for sale that would suit it if you fancy something different  http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=151482
