The rear brakes are different and require partial removal of the caliper, does anyone know the torque specs for the two bolts that I need to remove in order to replace the pads?

The main issue issue is that the GT3 is using different set up that the regular 911s.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The 2007 GT3 PCCB front brakes instead of a cotter pin have a nut at the back end of the pin that holds the spring in place - does anyone know the torque spec? (The nut is not visible below because is at the back side of the caliper) The rear brakes are different and require partial removal of the caliper, does anyone know the torque specs for the two bolts that I need to remove in order to replace the pads? (You can barely see the two bolts) Slightly better picture of one the bolts

POST 2Original post

Hello - you may be able to find the torque specs online for the brake system, if not; you may have to find a workshop manual. They list all the torque specs and also having diagrams for all the fixes. I'm guessing other members may have this info for you. Best of luck!

Thank you Dmitry, unfortunately I wasn't able to find any information online, at the regular 997 workshop manual or Porsche online database. The main issue issue is that the GT3 is using different set up that the regular 911s. It also seems that the 996 GT3 has a different rear brake set up. In the Porsche online guide for some reason I couldn't find the info both times that I logged in for an hour session. If anyone has this info it would be great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I call Porsche dealership service departments for "vaulted" irritants like, perhaps, this torque spec and ask service dept. managers or technicians there until you learn it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
