Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Not sure it helps much, but I must have disconnected and reconnected batteries on my 996s 50+ times and never seen this.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wonder if anyone has any advice or perhaps has had this experience themselves and solved it! After fitting a new battery my drivers door window is not functioning at all. The passenger window is perfect, but the drivers will not operate or drop/raise when the handles are pulled. I can hear a faint click when operating the switch, but absolutely no fresh air facilitation from the glass :dont know: Any advice that would avoid an unnecessary strip down of the door would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:

POST 2Original post

Not sure it helps much, but I must have disconnected and reconnected batteries on my 996s 50+ times and never seen this. Doors are easy to take apart though, just make sure battery is disconnected. I had a very scary few seconds once when window started going down when I had my hand in the door. Never again!! There is a video I did on YouTube about taking it apart if you need it. MC

POST 3Original post

Try a reset .. close the window drivers side .. release the button then close again and hold for 5 seconds .
