Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Yesterday (2 Jul), I drive Sid over a speed strip and boom! These popped up... Hooked up my Foxwell... This was the result : So I went to take a peek... Voilà!! There's a repair kit available with part number 987-612-962-00 Repair set for right front axle Wire set anti-locking brake syst. -abs-brake pad wear display. Looks like it's a known issue and they have the fix but it costs roughly US$120. AND you've gotta have some soldering know how... Anyway, it's Sunday and all the shops and workshops are closed so I'll hunt for the parts locally (in Singapore) tomorrow. Have a great Weeknd all!

POST 2Original post

Crap, I should've posted it in the Complaints and Problems sub-forum.

POST 3Original post

A not recommended temporary fix of basically plugging in the connectors without the plastic bits. The broken bits. I think more has actually flown off. At least I can drive without having them warning lights and proper gearshifts. Obviously not gonna drive when it rains for a long period or distance. The mechanic who did my tranny and drive shaft replacement had over torqued the lug nuts such that I have no way of getting my wheel off now without an impact wrench. At least the errors are gone after I cleared them with the Foxwell. Waiting on a PIWIS 3 that I ordered from China. Hope that one runs properly. Then I can do a proper handover and VAL.

POST 4Original post

I’ve used a Chinese piwis for handover. But what would it do for this situation?

POST 6Original post

Oh... Actually, it's for my rear end control module that's stuck in "Transport Mode". 😂 My bad that I kinda lumped it into this thread. Back on topic, I refuse to believe that a plastic connector with some rubber bits, 5 ordinary copper wires and a metal clip is gonna cost US$120 so I'll probably go the cheapskate route and get some normal car audio plastic connectors and crimp the wires together. As a temporary workaround, I've done this...

POST 7Original post

This was the first surprise I got from my Boxster-that it didn't scrape going over the local speed bumps at posted speeds. My factory lowered 2006 GMC Canyon pickup regularly made horrible noises if I didn't crawl over the things.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
