Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I emailed the guy and he said he has supplied them for 911s before but I should check the dimensions on mine.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

On ebay here... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=130202069050&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 I emailed the guy and he said he has supplied them for 911s before but I should check the dimensions on mine. Very cheap item! Anyone tried these or anything to add about the dimensions. Ive mailed him again about how it is actually fitted. Andrew

POST 2Original post

Hmm, I don't think they're on sale for £33 without a good reason.

POST 3Original post

Just had a quick look and the genuine Porsche are about 10x the cost, so personally, I would steer well clear. http://www.design911.co.uk/index.htm?Region=UK £200 for some nice Fabspeed ones, or £300 for the OEM Porsche. I think you need to add VAT on this site as well, so you can see what I'm talking about....even taking into account Porsche infamous mark-up!!!! PS To answer your previous question: Some earlier models have the tips welded on, some later models have a bolt underneath. A bit of a mixed bag, so best have a look underneath and see which variety you have. If your car is the bolt on variety and is an earlier facelift, then the chances are it will have rusted somewhat and will need a lot of time and effort to get the bolt out (and plenty of WD-40!). Even the later models will still need a bit of persuasion to remove! 997 tips won't fit, unless you weld some sort of convertor.

POST 4Original post

exhaust tips guilty bought two for £60 as stated, crap, been on the car for two weeks and started to rust, there are some on ebay for 80+25 postage which are from tiawan i think, they are made from stainless so should last, anybody have any experience of them?

POST 6Original post

I'm guilty... a while back I purchased a set of tips from a French 'company' Took a while to arrive, when they did, overall quality was poor and fitment was poor. The welds didn't hold and one of the tips is loose and rattles, also causing a terrible resonance in the cabin... Please don't waste your money on this crap. Either go with the Porsche tips or another quality manufacturer.

POST 7Original post

sorry to hear about your experiences... But you know the old adage... buy cheap, buy twice. Remember that when it comes to tuning/mods, you can have only 2 out of the 3: - Performance - Reliability - Low price
