Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Today being fairly warm and pleasant, I wound back the targa roof. As usual, wind noise spoiled the experience somewhat. Out of curiosity, I reached up and held down the pop-up wind deflector strip. Wind noise immediately ceased. However it was, predictably, replaced by... wind. A pleasant, gentle 'wind in the air' sensation at 40mph, steadily increasing with speed to significant and unpleasant buffeting at 60mph. According to the kids, it was worse in the back. So it seems that the wind deflector does what it says on the tin but at the same time creates horrendous wind noise. I call that bad design. Does anyone know if there's any kind of after market replacement wind deflector out there (an internet search didn't reveal anything) or any kind of DIY solution? Surely it's not impossible to design a wind deflecting solution which doesn't result in so much wind noise. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Zoin
