I think you started it..........hope you get Terry back on the rails as soon as Dave and he's running again like a steam train and you don't need to make much further use of Thomas......

My engine check light "drive to workshop" came on on Friday. Switched off and restarted a couple of times but still was there. Phoned OPC and they said as long as the warning light wasn't flashing (solid light is ok to drive flashing get a tow) it would be OK to drive carefully there (15 miles). Got there and the car was checked almost immediayely (OPC Mid Sussex good once again) A few biscuits later I was told an oxygen sensor had gone. The good news is that it was covered under the warranty (£300-400 to have rectified otherwise) The bad news is that they had none in stock and I should leave the car there until it is sorted. Will get the car back Monday. Had noticed a slight hesitation in the pick up a couple of days prior to the warning light coming on. So have spent the weekend driving the wifes car ( C Max) which this afternoon I managed to crash into a Pug 206. No one hurt but a complete lack of concentration on my part The point of this post is three fold 1. Engine check light could mean a failed o2 sensor which would be covered under warranty 2. Do not drive your car if you have a flashing "Engine check" light 3. Don't get complacent when driving a car you consider inferior to your 911. Humble Pie? Yes lots.
