Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1999 996 first generation. I have removed all the silver handles, e- brake handle, shifter can changed the shifter boot the black leather. The last thing I want to do is the little nubs that you lift the door pocket open with. I either want to dip them with carbon fiber paint or just change them to black. I cant figure out how to remove them. Any advice?

POST 2Original post

You probably need to remove the entire arm rest on the doors and then disassemble them on the bench. Check out the instructions for Rennline's carbon fiber arm reset to get an idea of how it's removed: You Tube

POST 3Original post

I think I know the pieces you are talking about. Mine just popped off and I had to super glue them back into place. They should be easy to remove.
