You need to be sure that none of the owners has skimped on running the car.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hi i have managed to find one!
http://www.sportlinecarsales.co.uk/20941/sportlinecarsales.htm
the silver 2002 turbo..
has 52k
went to see the car and was in good condition..tried to look for the c16 uk car at front of service book but nothing there??
does that mean its not a uk car?
it has had a service every 10k or so but there are no receipts with it..although i can check with the dealers..it was a royal bank of scotland car i believe..
he is going to replace front discs and pads as there was a wobble under heavy braking and the recnt report showed they were corroded..
so the deal is he gets the brake discs/pads replaced and gets me a full ppi from porsche leicester..as long as that is clear so i can put a warranty on it then ill give him £38k
ill have to pay £900 for the warranty..so total £39k with 12months warranty assuming ppi clear
a good deal??
all thougths welcome
btw it has 4 owners--should that worry me come resale time and the mileage??
or should i wait..
thanks
Have a look under the bonnet for the option codes. They will be on a small sticker in the middle. On a 52 plate they will be quite faint, but should still be readable.
I think that is quite a reasonable deal. Porsche marque tends to have higher owners, so I wouldn't let that put you off.
The turbo engine doesn't have the same problems as the standard 3.6, so I wouldn't be worried about the 50k+ mileage.
Porsche typically book at 8k/year, so it's slightly higher than average. If you are going to less miles per year, then this will even itself out.
BTW - the OPC warranty doesn't cover everything, eg. PCM (satnav), so you need to take this into account as well.
C16 should appear as the first in the sequence of codes on the sticker, this sticker is in the service book & under the bonnet. If it doesn't have it then it's not a "UK" spec car. Not necessarilky a bad thing but that depends what country spec it
does
have?
I would be concerned with no receipts, is there a service history? at 50k i suspect it will have had a clutch? (£900 ish) what are the tyres like? Front brakes are a £700 ish job at an OPC, less at an indy. Who says the wobble is the brakes? may be something else? servicing should be annual or 12k, what ever comes first. You need to be sure that none of the owners has skimped on running the car.

Pops Have a look at Jasons thread (964RS) re cheapest 996tt in the UK.
Although I have never met Jason I know that he is fastidious when it comes to P cars. The mileage may be higher than you are looking for but you will get a great car.
PS Jason I will forward you my address to send the case of wine to when the sale is complete
