Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've got no complaints with the Pirellis on the road but on the track the ABS seems to kick in too early so would prefer something stickier but it's got to work in the wet as well as the 996 is used all year.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just know this will solicit a blizzard of opinionated postings but good, that's the point. Any suggestions as to the most suitable tyres to get for my P&J? Currently she runs 225/40/18 front and 285/30/18 rear, Pirelli Rosso N4s all round, came shod with these when I bought her last summer. I'll do around 5 to 6,000 miles a year in her and about 5 trackdays a year. I've got no complaints with the Pirellis on the road but on the track the ABS seems to kick in too early so would prefer something stickier but it's got to work in the wet as well as the 996 is used all year. Suggestions please.......

Michelin Pilot Sports. IMO the best road tyre for the track, given that on a track, the dry grip is more important than the wet grip. If you are a winter trackday hero, then the Conti Sport Contact are the best I have found.
