Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

EBAY LINK Calling our detailing experts  But more seriously, how much to put this right? :dontknow: My guess is that even fully sorted it would only be worth £17K

POST 2Original post

Think he's a bit optimistic about it being light panel damage isn't he? There is a lovely crease behind the nearside rear window and that won't be easy to deal with surely?

POST 3Original post

With 80k on the clock, that BIN price is hopeful! At least 25-30k damage there... more than the car is worth. He would make more money stripping the car and selling the parts that aren't damaged...

POST 4Original post

Tell 'im he's dreamin' ........ For similar money I'd have that GT3 from the other day. At least it has a good engine But then I wouldn't have either....... both are far too gone to invest those sums of money....

POST 5Original post

THE CAR HAS LIGHT FRONTAL DAMAGE, Do me a favour what panel ahead of the doors ISN'T damaged!!

POST 7Original post

Light panel damage Oh dear, what had they been smoking when they wrote the ad The car can only be worth about £20k repaired as a Cat D :?: so think the price is a tad on the optimistic side :blue-no:

POST 8Original post

Very optimistic.. I would say a 80k 996 on CAT D is no more then £13-15k..

POST 9Original post

Clearly I was feeling generous, it being the start of the weekend and it's been a long week

POST 10Original post

I just can't see that being worth repairing tbh... I think you would spend more on fixing it than the car will be worth at the end. There has to be at least £10k- worth of work there, possibly more (as I don't believe that the chassis is straight). Might be worth about £8k in total split and sold as parts? How come that's only cat D?
