Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, after being gazumped on my last purchase at the last minute, I finally got one!!  2001 Carerra2 Cab. It's got pretty much nothing on it options wise except a sports exhaust which is awesome!! So, couple of questions....
Any decent source for aftermarket Xenon's or is it best to get the Porsche ones?
There is a cable in the boot for what looks like the CD changer - is it just a matter of getting one and plugging it in?
The folding roof seems to clunk a bit when going over rough roads with the hard top on - is this normal?
What's the normal oil pressure reading - the book says 3.5 but mine's higher than that.
Congrats eddiek-62! Plenty of miles of waiting for you. The work day will even seem longer now, while you wait to drive home!

Aftermarket Xenon or HIDs are often picked up from a few sources. Theses are hid4u and aceparts. Search on HID's here, and im sure you'll pick up some useful info (google "hid4u discount/voucher etc - im sure there loads to be found).
The oil pressure varies pending on when the engine is warming up and type of driving, im sure someone will be able to clarify further on this too as with the q on the roof!
roof will clunk around a bit. get some silicone spray and squirt it around the moving parts to stop squeeking. Another top tip - where the cab roof meets the windscreen frame is prone to rust cos the cab top presses hard against the paint and eventually rubs it off. If yours hasnt rusted then quickly get some PTFE tape or something similar and put a line across, to protect from rubbing. do a search on this forum for silicone and you will find a thread which discusses how to stop your top leaking, so to speak.
Another top tip - you might want to recondition your roof with renovo products. they do a roof cleaner and then a re-proofer which are supposed to be ace. I have bought mine and hoping to do it soon, before the summer.
Proper porsche litronics will self-adjust, and have washers. Aftermarket HIDs are just HID bulbs etc, but are only £250ish-I got some from HIDS4U and they are great.
You might be lucky and get a used cd changer, but they are expensive new (£300+) Youd probably do better to take out the standard stereo, and sell it, then get a stereo like a Becker Grand Prix with Ipod adapter.
Enjoy the new car!
Thanks for the replies guys. My 25 mile commute to work was the most enjyable it has ever been this morning! What a bloody long day waiting to go home though!!!
Yes, I think you're right - although I liked the look of the pioneer Avic install that someone had done a few months ago. You can get them for under 700 quid now which seems good value for a touchscreen Sat-Nav/Bluetooth/ipod/DVD unit.
If you don't go the full AVIC route, forget the Becker GrandPrix and consider one of the mObridge iPod adaptors to get fibre optic quality iPod connectivity on the existing CDR 23/24. See my sig.
