Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Anyway still have the code, going to try and replace the solenoid and if that doesn't work I suppose I will have to start thinking about a lot more invasive work to fix it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 1999 C2 has a 1539 Engine code, camshaft adjustment bank 2., that I have been trying to figure out. Sent the ECU to ECU doctors to get checked out to verify it was not that. They responded a few days after they received it saying it had a crack in the PCB which could be causing the issue. So I paid to get a replacement ECU, then didn't hear back from then for a week after a few emails. Finally called a week later and they said their diagnostic setup had an issue so they couldn't verify the results and didn't know if my ECU actually had an issue or not. They were nice enough to send me my original and a replacement to test and see what happens, ended up having the exact same issue with their replacement ECU so I sent it back per their instruction for a refund minus the diagnostic fees. Sent it back and am also charged for a 35% restocking fee. Pretty cool business paying for a diagnostic that doesn't work and a 35% restocking fee on top of it. Anyway still have the code, going to try and replace the solenoid and if that doesn't work I suppose I will have to start thinking about a lot more invasive work to fix it. Before the Sent the ECU both actuators were appearing to work which was confusing, but now the bank 2 side no longer engages, so I guess that is a good thing since it should indicate that actually is the issue.

POST 2Original post

I think I still have a new uninstalled Bank 2 actuator, WITHOUT the solenoid. I'll let you have it for cheap if you want it. Re-use your solenoid, or buy a new one.
