Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As requested, please find attached a picture of the 997 C2 18" Carrera III wheels fitted to my 996 Cab. These bolted straight on and are not spaced, do not foul on full lock at all and really seem to have helped the handling as they create a slightly wider track at the rear, albeit new tyres will also have helped.

POST 2Original post

Nice, really nice. My favourite Alloys. I've spotted some 996 GT3 (not the split rimmed ones) wheels that I might buy.

POST 3Original post

What were the ET`s on the Carrera III`s. I see lots of wheels for sale but never sure if they will fit straight on. Steve

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No problem Steve, these were Front 8J ET57 Rear 10J ET58 The front wheels have actually retracted by 1mm and the rears moved out by 7mm. I may well space the fronts, although they are almost indentical to the Sport Design alloys I had before.

POST 5Original post

Nice one Chauch they look great... just lower it now!

POST 6Original post

From that angle it would be hard for most to distinguish it from a 997 with those wheels they look just right. I really like the standard 997 wheels too (dont know what they are called) anyone fitted these to a 996? I've evn seen them on 993's and they look great IMHO.

POST 7Original post

They're called "Carrera" Wheels. You can buy them for 996 or 997 as OEM. Chauch has fitted the 997 Carrera "III" edition to his 996, which has a wider (smaller) offset than their 996 equivalents.
