I went away on business the day after I bought it and just got home but I will take it for a run along the twisty hills near San Diego today.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just bought a 2010 Turbo last Sunday. I sold my
2008 Cayman S
and will also sell my 2009 C4S. I can tell you this new Turbo is unbelievable. I bought it from Walter's in Riverside Ca and I'm very pleased. I went away on business the day after I bought it and just got home but I will take it for a run along the twisty hills near San Diego today. Attached is a photo of it in my garage
next
to my C4S. I have to say that I thought the C4S was amazing which it is but just not in the same league as the 2010 Turbo.
When you get a chance to drive it hard:drivingskid: please let us know its strong points, and tradeoffs that every car has. More pictures when you have an oportunity would be nice.

Now go out and drive it!, The garage is just temporary storage.
Thanks! I probably used the wrong words here. I knew it wasn't in the same class as I've driven Turbos before but this one is unlike any other I've driven.
Congrats on the purchase. It's amazing to see the improvements that have been made on the new turbo even compared to the previous 997 turbo.
Leave it to Porsche to increase horsepower by 20 and increase fuel efficiency by 16%.
Did you opt for the center lock wheels or the new turbo II wheels?
BTW I recommend putting some clear side markers up front if you have not already done so. A great modification on a white car for around $40.
$400K+ AUD, may the dreaming continue
Congrats all the same, you're no stranger to Porsche it would seem, you must have a close relationship with the the dealer.
Thank you! I've been very fortunate. After I bought my 2008
Cayman
I became "Hooked" on Porsche. I think this will be it for me on Porsches for quite some time! It's hard to see how they could get any better!
Thanks. You are correct on the improvements. I drove a 2008 Turbo and I have to say the 2010 is so much improved and that is saying something! I did not opt for centre lock wheels. They are the Turbo II wheels which are actually very nice and have a grey look to them. I did get the clear side markers thrown in by the dealer as you are right it definitely makes a difference on white. I'll post the photos asap.
Thank you! Actually the dealer that I bought my
Cayman
and C4S from had pre-sold their allocation. I researched through all the dealers in California and Walters in Riverside who were excellent to deal with had the one with the options I felt were a perfect fit for me. I bought my
Cayman S
and C4S at Hoen Porsche in Carlsbad and they were great also I must say.
Thank you! I definitely will. I took it for a drive through the hills of North San Diego County and over to Pacific Coast Highway and I can truly say that it is a stunning car in every way. It has the the new PTV and the Sport Chrono Package with Dynamic Engine Mounts. I'll provide more details later but the confidence in which you can enter and exit a corner with the PTV is incredible. I have driven the older Turbos and it is obvious the new PTV technology has a massive effect on stability. There is never a sense of insecurity or a feeling that it could under or oversteer. This car provides total confidence and you are assured it will go where you point it. More to follow....
Yes! However, I think even Jeremy Clarkson will now possibly like Posches! I think he was slightly impressed with the last Turbo. This Turbo is in a different league. All the magazines are now saying it beats all the other Supercars in the 0-60 range and this is an every day super car. As we know, Porsche is always conservative on it's stats and even though I'm not sure if it is true apparently some believe it will do 0-60 in 3 seconds flat. Can't wait to see the Stig take this around the track.
Photos of my 2010 911 Turbo
I've attached some photos of my 2010 Turbo 911. The car is Carrera White, 500 HP, DFI engine... included options are Black Full Leather, Porsche Torque Vectoriing (PTV), PDK, Sport Wheel with Shift Paddles (very nice feels like an F1 car), Heated Front seats, Seat Ventilation, Dynamic Cornering Lights, Sports Chrono Package with Dynamic engine mounts, XM, Bluetooth, Universal Audio and Navigation is standard.
CONGRATULATIONS from all my heart  this is the only car (2010 Turbo) that I dream of. Just like a child I keep on watching over and over the official release commercial:

This car is faster (in terms of acceleration) than all Ferraris and Lambos. :gossip:
If I ever get a chance to afford one, I'd sink myself in debts just to own this monster in a blink of an eye!
Enjoy it by all means... and please share with us a detailed review about this beast!
Congratulations, truly an awesome car. I drove a TT
PDK
Cab this weekend w/ the dealer. Scary fast, like a catapault off a carrier deck! It has to be tried to be believed, and I'm not talking Launch Control, just Sport w/ a lead foot.....
M'kay, should I just skip the blue GT3 at Champion and go straight for the black Turbo coupe at The Collection? Hmmmmm. GT3 with a Gettrag or a Turbo with a
PDK
. It would probably save me money in the long run...
It's a difficult choice; I gave the new Turbo some serious consideration, what an awesome car. The turbo is a better all around car but my true passion is track events so I went for a new 2011 GT3, the waiting is going to be painful, should have it by sept.
Congratulations on the purchase and I too would love to own one as well. Our paths are very similar as I had a 06' CS and now have a 09' C4S. What are the big differences you see between the C4S and the turbo besides the power? Look forward to the updated review and pictures.
You Dog! Freeze in that forsaken Canadian wilderness, drinking your fabulous Molson, B.C. wines, etc. How far are you from Vans? B.C. is our fav... Whistler=Pan Pacific, Blackcomb=Fairmont.
Another poster made the point- GT3 was a little more rigid (compared to a Turbo cab.), Turbo was torque monster that you never got into 4th. I'm looking for a base GT3 (Ha!), or, or an as new 2010 Turbo coupe. Give the C2S to my wife, she's happy, I'll get the GT3. Any thoughts on the ceramic brakes for $8k.?
You could buy a ton of steel disks for that amount.
I thought it was over with the 997/2... must be... strong...
To paraphrase Will Smith in
The Pursuit of Happyness
,
what do you do
that you can afford a 2010 Turbo, and how can
I
get into that business?
Hopefully the answer isn't, to quote Peter Lawford in 1960's
Ocean's 11
, "Choose rich parents."
