Does anyone know if you can get an updated set of navigation discs to go with the PCM unit? I have a set of 3 discs that came with the car for Europe, but they are all dated 2003? thanks

I assume you have PCM2.0 rather than PCM1. (PCM2 has a CD slot at the top of the unit). The lasest disk set is 9 CDs for Europe, and was released 08.2012. To run the disks, the software level of your unit must be Version 3.0. To check, press MAIN and TRIP at the same time. If you need the software update disk, drop me an email. Disks are about £350 from Porsche, but take a browse on eBay, or Google it.

Hi I am thinking of upgrading to newer maps on my PCM 2 unit ( early 2003 996 targa). I have checked the software and it is version1. Can this still be upgraded to version3 ? If I do upgrade can I still use the original discs (3 discs in set) Thanks Tag10

Thanks for the info Richard I have now upgraded from software version 1 to 3. All the discs work well with the map upgrades as recommended. Tag10 (2003 996 Targa)
