Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Don't forget the McLaren SLR as you can pick up a few on some cracking used deals, same for the Aston Vanquish S which is a real bargain (avoid the non-S model)
Leading evidence: 'Use deals, same' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use deals, same' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Suggestion
Closest Ive seen was a custom built Pininfarina using the Enzo chassis that was in a few mags a year or so ago.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good morning all,
not to sound like a knob but am about to come into a few quid and was looking for some options in what motor to look for???
in the process of selling my company and looking for something fun!!!!
any suggestions welcome
For me there are too many cars that I would want. If i had the cash and somewhere to store them all then I would more likely buy a small fleet of cars than spank it all on one super car!
All the usual suspects would be involved, Ferrari, Aston, Porsche. Prob a 355 Spider, AM Vanquish and 911 Turbo (but a 997!).
When you say 'money no object' are we talking up to say 6 figures? Or literally no limit?
Up to 6 figures I would go for a 997 GT3 RS probably
Over 6 figures, definitely more than one: Mixture of classics and useable daily including a Daytona, GT3, Range Rover
Bugatti Veyron just does not interest me (like I could afford one anyway lol). Astounding achievement but leaves me cold as an aspirational car. So do most Lambos (ugly imho) and no dream car could fully engage me if I didnt fancy its looks as well as its drive. It may offend the purest driving school but a dream car has to look as well as it goes and the above are, to my eye anyway, just ugly.
Id say in the hypercar bracket its more a question of elimination. Enzo is out (ugly and like most modern Ferraris too clinical), Zonda (beyond vulgar and to my eye ugly (sorry but its too fussy and bling)), Lambos out (vulgar, ugly and huge) so it would be the Carrera GT (though still not totally in love with it) or Ford GT (again thought I would adore this but something just isnt quite right.)
So the dream car for me has yet to be built. If it was it would have the heartstopping curves of the 70s Ferraris and Le Mans cars, drive like the best Lotuses or Porsches, be light (1250 - 1300kg or so) and pack 500 - 600 hp. Closest Ive seen was a custom built Pininfarina using the Enzo chassis that was in a few mags a year or so ago. So theres a project for me...
One tier down I just couldnt have a Ferrari 430. Seen a few and its just far too damn big. And no looker to my eye. F355 was ideal and an updated car along those lines would be perfect. Smaller, prettier... Porsche wise it would probably be a GT2. To my eye the Aston V8 Vantage looks better than the DB9 but the latter would probably get the nod all round in the Aston stable. Still not certain.
So if money were no object Id have my own designed for me!
Money no object, so assuming you actually want to drive the car as well
Porsche Carrera GT or a Porsche 997 GT2, which is actually faster !
Don't forget the McLaren SLR as you can pick up a few on some cracking used deals, same for the Aston Vanquish S which is a real bargain (avoid the non-S model)
although if it was me, I always had a soft spot for a Pagani Zonda F
I've never tried a Ferrari but can imagine that it would be high on most lists as an aspirational buy. I haven't got the front to carry it off
I admire the styling of the Lamborghni but wouldn't buy one.
If it was a no-other- consideration-purchase, save for I was actually going to use it, then with the cash in the bank, I'd be very tempted by an R8 or Aston.
The Masserati GT would be up there as well now as a possible alternative to a Porsche. If I just didn't care, the Quatroporte looks great.
But I really enjoy Porsche ownership so although spare cash might tempt me to buy an Aston, I really like Simon's approach of creating an RSR type car for fun and having a low profile (not Simon
) car for everyday. Whether that was a debadged BMW of some breed or a Fiat 500 Abarth  I'm not sure.
I'd end up with 4 I think;
Fiat 500 Abarth ; debadged M5 Touring ; 993 C4S ; Replica 911.
Spend = £140K and
Otherwise it's a Rolls-Royce; serious house + support team & high walls
£5M and counting ...
Amongst modern cars, I'd still love an Enzo one day... it's been eclipsed performance wise, but there's something about it that just draws me to it... I love the uncompromised looks and that it is flawed in execution. But the heart and soul of Ferrari are within, warts'n'all.
A blood orange M471 lightweight '73 RS also floats my boat big time if I could only have 1 Porsche...
It would be a hard call if I could only have one car. I'd have to have at least two. If I could have two one would be an Astin Martin for the cruiser, then I'd have something nasty, light and trackworthy! No idea what though!
964 3.6 turbo.
and i like odd stuff like, ascari's. nobles, tvr t350...
993 gt2, carrera gt just for the sound...
i'd go more for handling cars too, unlike the above lol
Are you kidding ... money no object .. well here goes
Italy - 288GTO for it's muscular beauty. Integrale for country blasts.
France - nothing
Germany - 997GT2 possibly the best yet. original M3
UK - Aston V8 Vantage because it looks so good in the flesh, Bentley Arnage Red Label for wafting, McLaren F1 to scare me senseless.
Japan - the maddest Skyline possible, 1000bhp at least.
USA - GT40, should that go in the UK section?
Any others, can't think right now :frustrated:
