Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have a 2005 5 spd Boxster and looking at replacing the skinny steering wheel with one from 2012-2016 models. Part number 991.347.803.39. It is from a PDK but the buttons do not bother me. Are the airbag and horn connectors compatible ? Is it a direct swap? The new steering wheel comes with the hub as well. Appreciate any advice on this.

POST 2Original post

The horn will not work! The fix to get it working is to take it to a dealer and have them program your car to think it has a multi-function steering wheel

POST 3Original post

I read in the other Porsche forum that some users who transplanted the 981 SW (no-MF) works on a 987.1 including the horn.
