Hey guys I've got a vibration @ 4000 rpm after changing my water pump on my 2001 C2 cab. Vrbates right at 4k and goes away around 4250. It's quite tight in there so i also removed the exhaust pipes in addition to the usual removals and loosened parts. Replaced the 996-111-220-02 clamps while in there. Of course, it's so loud listening at the rear of the car at 4k rpm I can't tell what's vibrating. hoping some have run into this before and can share a common part that can vibrate if not buttoned up correctly.

Finally got arrive to using stethoscope as I need sunshine to rev to 4000. Well, there's no more noise coming from water pump than anywhere else on the engine. That a good thing! Now I don't know where to go next.😥 At 4000rpm it's REALLY loud back there. Listening to various parts of the car didn't have anything jump out as a main vibration noise

You could remove the belt and see if the noise goes away. My guess, though, is the exhaust is making that rattle.

I'm thinking exhaust too I had to remove both cats & tips too get enough room to take water pump out. Loosened the cross support brace. Etc Ideas on what to check for with exhaust vibration?
