Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all I suspect that this may have already been covered but thought I would ask anyway. I would like to get a sports exhaust fitted to my C4 cab. I have spoken to my local indie who reccomends buying the Fabspeed from the States and having them shipped over. They are $1049. He would then fit them for me. Does anyone have any experience of these exhausts and having them shipped over? Are they any good? Are there cheaper/better alternatives? Finally, does fitting these effect the Porsche warrenty? Cheers Tim

POST 2Original post

Tim, I ordered from the USA & had Fabspeed fitted to my C2. It was reasonable/good quality with slight resonance at 2.5k. Off the gas it was quiet. On the gas it produced a "deep" sound which was nice enough and seemed to improve over time, but it was not a high pitched type of noise that you'd associate with say GT3s. If I was to make a choice now I'd prefer the PSE for example. I'm also looking at exhausts and would not buy another Fabspeed because I want a screamer. Taking advantage of the $ i, looking at a Cargraphic set $1700 from RSS in USA. Be careful around shipping costs (Ive just got fleeced) and then theres import and VAT which all add up!!! So at the price quoted its VFM. While you're at it have a look at their cold air kit and filter options
