Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I also checked all fuses under driver footwell but nothing is blown.

Those warnings are normal after disconnecting the battery.
i had disconnected battery for abt 30 mins -> warning lights came back when i reconnected battery -> drove for like 10 mins and warning signs went away ....

I was about to say the same as RSchwerer (i.e., drive around)....if you want to dive in further, you can browse this thread (among others) which is laid out in minute details by our resident expert / moderator jjrichar (and you may run into his youtube time to time as well).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hello ladies and gents,
I am having some issue with my 2009
cayman S
and would like some insights.
Yesterday, i installed
aliexpress
aftermarket headunit. it was all fine p, no warning lights, drovecouple of hours all good.
this morning comes, I start my car, i am welcomed with three warning lights;
ABS failure / Drive off Assistant failure / PSM failure
I returned the headunit to its original factory one and disconnected battry and reconnected battery, but warning lights still comes up.
I also checked all fuses under driver footwell but nothing is blown.
anyone has similiar expeirnece or knows the fix?
Ps 1. I heard there is another fuse hebind headunit. but if this blows, wouldnt headunit not function at all?
Ps 2. I noticed yesterday that my aftermarket headunit was showing voltage of around 14.2 ~14.4 volts, today morning, it was showing 13.5~13.8 it doesnt seems significant but could this possibly related to the warning lights?
Ps 3. Battery is new; not even 6 month old
thank you for your time!
You didn't state whether you tried driving after the installation of the head unit. Those errors would likely clear themselves by driving a mile or less.
Those warnings are normal after disconnecting the battery. You don't always get all of them but they are common and have nothing to do with the radio.
The battery voltages are normal for stages of the charge cycle. 13.5 is in the "float" range. 14.4 is normal while charging
hello and thank you for the reply. i forgot to mention that i did drive the car on both highway and street for couple of miles but warning lights are still there. i am going to try recalibrating the steering wheel by turning on the car, turn the wheel all the way to right and left, then drive straight for a little bit
i was actually thinking abt this. but dun i have to pay dealer/mechanic to reset those warning? or is there a device that i can purchase that can erase/reset those codes?

Or like my buddy, you can get iCarSoft / Foxwell (NT510??) which should cover "most" of simple stuff...where are you located by the way?
Cheapest diagnostic tool I know of is
ThinkDiag
. It is a Bluetooth
OBDII
dongle that uses an app on your phone. I think it works best on Android. Can be bought online for $105 on
Amazon
or less when it goes on sale.
Worth a try but I doubt their generic scanners understand
Porsche
specific codes. And my experience was they (auto store staff) won't clear codes related to safety and emissions.
Just wondering where in the US you're located.. it's possible some kind member here might have diagnostics tools (I seem to now have 4 of them) and would be willing to hook them up to your car. That said - owning your own will pay for itself rather quickly. One of mine cost me less than half what an independent
Porsche
shop wanted to turn on some lights on my steering wheel. Bought the tool, spent $130, saved $130 and still own the tool.
i got
icarsoft
one...
but THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY itself...
i had disconnected battery for abt 30 mins -> warning lights came back when i reconnected battery -> drove for like 10 mins and warning signs went away ....
it is so weird but i guess i am good now ..
You always get warning lights after the battery is disconnected. The PSM system needs to know when the steering is pointed straight ahead. Unfortunately - when it loses power it loses it's memory of straight ahead. So it takes a bit of driving for it to relearn this. You can usually get it to go out in the driveway if you center the wheel and pull forward and backward a few times - about 25' or so.
