Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've replaced the 996.2 with a late '05 997.1 Carrera S with just 10,800 miles on the clock....bought and serviced at The Collection in Miami over the years.

Given the decisive role that Brumos and Hurley have played in Porsche Motorsports, I'd offer that having a Brumos-sourced car and one that Hurley had tested/driven is a very big deal and adds to the value of the car.

It is a static cling and I used a pair of latex gloves to apply it and a microfiber towel to squeeze out the bubbles.

I used static-cling film sold by Papilio that can be used in an ink jet printer.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My 996 was originally a dealer demonstrator at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville. We all know the story around this legendary dealership (hard to believe that the new owner shed the Brumos name, as it's now Fields Jacksonville Porsche!!). Hurley Haywood has had a long standing relationship with the dealership dating back to the Peter Gregg days, and when they delivered a car that Hurley had driven, they affixed a sticker to the windshield attesting to Hurley's seat time. There was evidence that there once was a sticker on my '02 car (you could still barely see the outline....), so I set out to recreate the sticker on my PC and the result is fantastic.
I used static-cling film sold by Papilio that can be used in an ink jet printer. I found a picture of an original, intact sticker and used it for reference, along with the general dimensions from the shadow on my windshield. First, I created the decal and saved it as a JPEG. I then reversed the photo to have it read backwards, and printed it on the film. One good coat of Krylon white spray paint for plastics (flexible) provided the white background, and the results are perfect.
In the event your car is/was a Brumos car, I made a few extra stickers that I'm willing to share.
Wow...this is super cool....especially since coincidentally I posted what I did with my car that was a tribute to my late friend Bruce Leven who was a car owner (Bayside Disposal) for Hurley (and others) in the 70s and 80s.

In fact my car is signed by Bruce
I wouldn't mind one of these stickers....
Pop me a PM with your address and I'll shoot one out to you. You'll need a steady hand with an Xacto knife or a really great pair of scissors to cut it out. It is a static cling and I used a pair of latex gloves to apply it and a microfiber towel to squeeze out the bubbles.
We all remember Bruce and the Bayside Disposal cars back when IMSA was at the top of their game...
Here is Bruces cars in his garage before his passing....and right there in the front is the Gregg, Haywood, Leven 935...what a beautiful sight....I wish I knew where they landed.
Even though the sticker is a little ragged around the edges, the previous owner and I thought it was a pretty cool piece of history, so we left it as is.
I am in the process of buying a used CR and it has this sticker. I told the dealer that I thought it was a gimmick and didn't offer any tangible value. Is there actually a "cool factor" of having this sticker on the windshield? Please forgive my ignorance.

My '02 car was just sold to a local PCA member who had to have the car. It wasn't for sale, but then I guess everything is for sale and we reached a mutually acceptable spot and the Brumos/Hurley origins did play a role.

So what if the car also has Hurley's signature under the hood along with the above sticker. Is that a good thing, or maybe an even better thing? Again, please forgive my ignorance.
Cayman R (CR)
I haven't seen the car in person yet, it is being shipped to me in about a week. The dealer was trying to play up the value of the window sticker and hood signature (of course) and I honestly didn't appreciate it until I started doing some research. I will post a pic when I get the car. I am appreciating it a little more now that I am gaining additional knowledge.
the idea that you still have the original on the car, and all the history that's behind it,(Haywood, brumos, etc)is what makes this cool .and that you were able to in effect counterfeit it, even though quite creative is just a fake, jmho.
Cayman R, great Porsche.
Whatever sticker adds, which is not much I'm guessing, the signature on hood is worth more. I'm not a big car show guy, but little details like this are stuff I enjoy and pique my interest when I do attend them. Please share hood signature photo. Maybe I can recreate one for our Brumos brethren.😊
You can see two signatures. Can anyone guess what the other one is if you zoom in? I can't make it out. Thinking about doing some Brumos Livery as well.
The real decals were actually stored in a safe and only applied to genuine "Brumos" cars that were driven by Hurley. They were never given away or available outside of vehicle purchases. Hopefully there aren't many reproductions made. It takes away from the originals out there. I'm sure there are many opinions on the matter though.
I recently picked up a 991.2 Carrera T that was originally sold by Porsche Jacksonville and it has Hurley Haywood's signature under the hood. According to someone at The Brumos Collection, Hurley's signature would have been arranged by Porsche Jacksonville but I don't have any detail beyond that. I'm still trying to figure out more specifics of how my car got signed in case anyone has ideas...
