Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I re-wrapped it in the Summer, originally had a Signal Yellow vinyl but the material was a nightmare to apply and I wasted about two weeks with it so I had to bin that off and use a different manufacturer, the shade isn't quite what I wanted but I actually do like it more than the Signal wrap in the end.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So ten years ago I started looking for a 911. Specifically a c4s. At the time the price range you could get one for was was £14-25k. I settled on a 90k mile 9 year old one owner example for £16750 that represented good value at 23% of the £72k the first owner paid for mine
Fast forward ten years I thought I would look and see how much a 991 c4s is now and they seem to be around £50k for a 9 year old one with 90k miles on. I'm not sure what the new purchase price would have been on a 2013 car but even if it was £100k new (and I suspect they would have been nearer £90k) that's like 50% of the new cost
In summary I think the 996 was an absolute bargain back then and even if they have gone up a bit over the last ten years i recon they still are
Winny
Absolutely agree, and not only that it is a f'in fantastic drivers car, debatable only by owners of other types but from driving various other 911's the 996 gives you so much feedback and is the perfect power to weight ratio, more so with a capacity increase
I bought mine around 11 (12 in December) years ago for £14k with 41k miles on it, I have hammered the car to death around Europe and the UK and it now stands at nearly 146k miles. I have spent a fortune in maintenance but I still have a better drivers car (not including modern comforts) than a 991 and still haven't spent £50k, although my accountant seems to think I have?

My 1998 996 C2 is my favourite car for general fun driving. Just so fantastjc to drive at sensible speeds. Looking forward to getting in it next week.

996 is definately a bargain but I don't JUST think it's a bargain and maybe I am an oddity but for pure driver enjoyment I honestly don't desire any other car on the road especially modern nanny tech stuff, they just lack the involvement/skill of anologue systems imo. Yes of course I would like to have a go at exotica but I simply don't desire it and don't see the point of the modern power/acceleration figures given the state speed impositions although I know youngsters will see the "card" figures as attractive (hilarious that the most willing "racers" these days are
Tesla drivers who quickly find it isn't dynamically very capable).
Bought mine quite badly needing a lot of work but 15k spent later it is just everything I ever wanted in a sports car.
Well I don't mind the 996 interior, it is oceans better than my old aircooled 3.0 SC and 3.3 turbo which were out of the ark, slidy heating controls anyone with exhaust smells in the cabin!!! and those push/pull controls and dash layout .. ugggh.
Maybe the 997 got a tad better but i'm happy.
...agree vis a vis interior comparisons; 993 from the dark ages and 997 lifted straight out of a Mondeo...
...993 has no particularly interesting design cues and at odds with the updated styling ( from 964-993) and was meant to have the 996 interior...
...by comparison the 996 interior design aligns really successfully with the exterior swoops and curves...
...the 997.1s interior is neither stylish or in touch with it's design cues nor is the quality especially good...in my 996.2 each switch works perfectly and is neither shiny(996.1) or losing its decals (997.1)...even the flimsy indicator stalks ( talk about cheap) continue to work...for now!
...by any objective metric the 996 is fantastic 911...the dog will have its day...perhaps it is?
