Suggestion

Others may disagree, however, I've had nothing but horrific results trying to use the auxiliary output on the oem radio; especially with one of those cheap eBay knock-off cables .

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 210 radio which does not have an aux port so I'm thinking about buying the unit below. Does anyone know if Boxsters use the standard antenna port? http://www.themindfactory.com/Products/PLL-1_FM/PLL-1_Modulator/pll-1_modulator.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I picked up a cheap convertor on ebay, we'll see how it works

POST 4Original post

If you car has a cd changer already in the trunk, then this is the easiest plug in to do ... It works perfectly and plugs direction into the back of your radio where you cd changer is currectly plugged and then just plug it into the headphone jack of your ipod. put the radio in cd player mode and your good to go. hope this helps http://motors.shop.ebay.com/ipodmp34capa/m.html?_nkw=porsche&_sacat=&_odkw=&_osacat=0&bkBtn=&_trksid=p3911.m270.l1313

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the 210 as well so do we have any options? I don't want to replace the stock radio.

POST 7Original post

Others may disagree, however, I've had nothing but horrific results trying to use the auxiliary output on the oem radio; especially with one of those cheap eBay knock-off cables . When the vehicle is not running, shunting can occur with regard to electrical/power supply . On three separate occasions, this irreparably harmed 3 of my ipods . You're better off investing in a good quality aftermarket head unit that will provide you with a stable interface .
