Is there any easy way to be sure the body shop replaced the bi-xenon with bi-xenon and not the less expensive stock headlights?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I recently had to replace the bi-xenon headlights that were damage by multiple stone hits. Is there any easy way to be sure the body shop replaced the bi-xenon with bi-xenon and not the less expensive stock headlights?

POST 2Original post

The basic difference should be like night and day after dark. The bi-xenons light up the world (at least in my dark country lanes) and is very noticeable. I went with clear bra material over mine because of that worry and the fact that I drive a gravel road to the house. Did you have that protection?

POST 3Original post

I'm pretty sure the only bulbs that will work are the xenon lamps since xenon takes on entirely different wiring harness and electrical configuration - one of the reason they are so expensive.

POST 4Original post

+1 on the clear bra material. I have them on the headlights and the foglights. The material for the headlights is a bit thinner then the stuff on the body panels for heat reasons I guess. It is very clear and I can't tell if they're on at all. You're in CT, but PM me if you want details on a high end shop on Long Island that I used.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
