Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
In fact, you can upgrade the map to right up-to-date with the later versions of PCM1 using aftermarket discs, something you can't do with PCM2 due to the firmware.
Leading evidence: 'Use aftermarket discs, something you can't do' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use aftermarket discs, something you can't do' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Bad news, Redline Racing just called me to say that the car I was interested has now been sold. This is my fault I have been too too slow. Therefore I am still looking for a 996 turbo (2001 to 2003) in blue cobalt with maximum 50K miles on it. If anyone has one for sale I can be contacted via MP.
Thanks
Here is below the 996 turbo that I am now considering - it is a 2002 model with 50K miles for £40 K and it is in blue cobalt. I have not seen it yet but does this one look good or should I be worried about something (colour etc) ? In addition, has anyone got positive or negative feedback re this independent ie Redline Racing Group ? I had various discussions on the phone with them and they have been helpful. Thank you for letting me know asap since I have to decide by early next week
Many thanks

Are you after Blue specifically?
I will be advertising my Silver 996 Turbo in a couple of weeks when I get back from my honeymoon, its an x50, with a DMS exhaust, produced 483 BHP at the recent rolling road day.
Is a 2001 (December), good spec, 47k miles, will be around GBP 43k
Thanks Elrao - I am after a blue one (blue cobalt) or a black one but no other colours. On the basis of the description of yours, yours looks very good.
Cheers
F
Don't know anything about Redline, but I would hope they pay more attention to detail in preparing their cars than they do preparing their adverts... The spelling is atrocious!
GC Motors in Harrogate always have a good selection of Porsche and there customer service and independant warranty is 2nd to none...including OPC. I was having my car serviced there on saturday and I am sure they have a blue turbo in at the mo.

they have a 997 turbo too, isn't it amazing, the 2 cars are a similar drive, ok the 997 has moved the game on a little but what's sobering is the £49k price difference difference in 5 years & 40k miles.
I was contemplating "upgrading" my 996 this year due to a milestone b'day (21 again I hear you all suggesting
) but decided I would just drive the nuts off it and not think about the residuals or depreciation. May even treat myself to a nice exhaust instead to match the Revo.
I was quite prepared to loose 50k depreciation on a brand new car over a couple of years so by my rationale and on that basis my 2003 996 TT will stand me at nothing also in a couple of years so won't worry about the running costs or mileage etc.
the best "value" car I ever had I did the most miles in, you have to drive 'em! I value my cars on a price per mile and then a price per smile basis!
I have an 03 turbo and I'm only now just getting into thinking about tuning it & just enjoying the upgrading & owning experience.
a 'zorst & suspension is due first. How is the REVO? I must admit I struggle with the concept to pay someone thousands for what takes them a few minutes to acheive.......I was looking at the Brombacher diy kit, less than half the price and can it be that different?
Travelled 600 miles round trip to see that blue turbo at harrogate, had some serious paintwork and major service not done. I saw 7 Turbos before I found mine, be careful as there are some duff cars out there, and porsche warranty is a must.
