Hi, as others have stated yes those are the C4S recommended tyre sizes.

Why you would want to run 315 not sure just thought I'd mention it, I am sure I have heard others mention running wider at the front too - perhaps more justification for that?

Hi, can anybody confirm these are the correct sizes for a standard 996 C4S please?
Front Tires 225/40ZR18
Rear Tires 295/30ZR18
and any tips on who to buy from, i have used event tyres before and have been happy with service and price so intend to just use them again....?

Same question as came up a few weeks ago, in terms of tyre prices anyway.
I've ordered two new rears for my 993 C4S and Event were again the most competitive and helpful. Also offer a mobil fitting service which makes life a lot easier :thumb:

Did I read you could also fit 315 on the 11 inch rims.
Great link from Ade in another tyre related thread but I can't fathom it, :? measuring rims and standard rims all double dutch!!

It's a balancing act:
too wide at the front = oversteer
too wide at the rear = understeer
Going wider on the front of a 4S or Turbo is good as it helps to counter the understeer.
A GT2 runs 235/315 (12" rims), the Mk2 GT3 runs 235/295, the Mk1 GT3 runs 225/285 and the Turbo/4S runs 225/295.
I used to run the 235/295 combo on my 4S, definitely helped with the handling and improves the look too for the tarts out there
interesting, i am definitely a tart...are there any downsides?
and would the fronts be 235/40R18 ZR? I may give event a call and change my order...
