Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This very old 996 commercial sums it up. Looking for any excuse to drive it. A little trivia, the daughter is Kristin Stewert. https://youtu.be/p7gVm2xutTo?si=5V70e0txdIESVfJ-

Always loved this one. I do believe it came out in 1999, and SF agency Goodby (of "Got Milk" fame) created it, although I could be mistaken. I saw a similar Infinity or Lexus (I think) ad a few years back where the owner lived on top of a big hill, and their mail box was wayyyyyy down the "driveway" so he'd always volunteer to go get the mail. Other great Porsche tv spots include "Colors" and "Crash Test" both narrated by Patrick Stewart. Then there's this, one of my all time favorites.

But this one is a good one. You Tube

POST 7Original post

Whats funny about these turn of the century videos is that they are blurry as heck due to poor video quality. Thats how old the 996 is now.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We were just coming out of the dark ages.

POST 9Original post

This commercial made me buy my first and only carrera 911. This was me ( and probably everybody else) in the early 90s... You Tube

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had already owned my 2002 C2 for a couple of years and went to Road America for the AMLS (pre-IMSA) and saw the Flying Lizards Car. Was blown away by it. But the look and sound of it confirmed me as a 996 enthusiast. You Tube
