Hi guys, so on many 987.1 cars the rocker switches that control the heater speed on one side and temperature on the other side, the rockers deteriorate and the grey surface finish flakes off. This looks poor against the rest of the interior that wears the years well - anyone got tips on how to refinish these rocker switches?

It sounds like you are discriminating about your Porsche . If that's true just replace it. Otherwise you could remove it, unplug it and shoot it with paint from an auto store.

I just bought a set from Rock Auto it was on sale for less than $50.00 Looks real nice. The switches were worn when I bought the car. It always bugged me, but bothered the wife more. To busy driving the car to mess with installing the switches for a while. Bernie

Definitely a DIY project. Ordered new switches from uroTuning for $45. Pretty much used this video and the Climarepair write up.
