The shifter cable end on my 99 are 100% rotted out and need to be replaced. Cable seems to be in okay shape so I'd like to replace just the ends. It looks like my 99 has a stud style attachment point on the transmission side, compared to the 2000+ years that have a ball end. With that said, the function first solid cable ends are the ball type and the site says it fits 2000+ models. Are there any options to replace just end cable end? Or do I need to do the entire cable?

Numeric has ends that work with the early cars but u have to ask 4 them. Some dont like there cables because the nvh is higher but maybe the ends will work with the stock cables? I think the entire cable is still available from porsche but pricey 99642404114
