Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have just had my battery die, strange as i just drove back from paris and then the next day it was dead??? Anyway i then jump started the car and all ok apart from needing new bat, but the stereo is dead, nothing comes on at all. I was wondering if anyone new why or how to solve this problem i have checked the fuses and all ok Help please Paul

POST 2Original post

I'd suggest checking the fuses as that maybe the problem. There is a fuse on the back of the head unit, as well as the fuse in the fusebox. If you have a CDR23 and it is phut, then you can have my old one at a reasonable price if you want it - I swopped mine out for a Kenwood 7200.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks, it was the fuse on the back and is now powering up only prob is i have not got the code any sugestions????

POST 4Original post

I believe your OPC can tell you from the chassis number of the car, but I believe they need to re-programme it for you (for a charge!). The radio manual says "only an authorised Porsche centre can exchange the radio. These centres are the only ones who can enter a new car radio into the vehicle electronics memory". I think because the stereo has been removed and re-connected, the OBC needs re-configuring for the stereo.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorted, some kind person has written the code on top of the unit so no silly bill from OPC, bit daft really as if someone stole it (not that they would) they would have the code

POST 6Original post

As you found the Code the old Maxim about "it is better to be lucky than clever", rules again. Regards Big Bob
