Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

2010 997 C4S: I have a CEL. Took to dealer and they quoted: Bank 1 Sensor 1 Oxygen sensor stuck rich. Which of the 4 sensors is this, and if I replace and presuming this is the issue, will the light go out, or do I need to resent. I don't yet own the reset tool. POST 2Original post

That refers to the Left side pre-cat oxygen sensor. You should reset the light after the replacement. The logic in the DME (engine control unit) SHOULD clear the fault after a number of drive cycles without the sensor being stuck rich however I have not actually witnessed this happening. - Casey
