Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

HI I think I may have timed out the top while replacing the latch motor assembly. The top worked fine until I fixed it! Any ideas on how to reset the top so it will work? Thx! __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible Top Mechanism Repair - 996 (1998-2005) - 997 (2005-2012) - Pelican Parts Technical Article

POST 2Original post

You could try a battery reset, or by pulling the fuse for the convertible top system for a while. Also double check to make sure all the pre conditions are met...don't forget the parking brake needs to be pulled and indicated as on in the instrument cluster, and engine lid must be closed. - Casey
