Suggestion
Just thinking about my last run, I had 20 miles showing left on the range and, assuming that the last 9 miles to empty shows on the range as 0 (which I read about recently), and given I my trip average for the last tank was showing an average of 16.6mpg, then presumably the car is calculating that I have 1.75 gallons / 8litres left, hence a theoretical tank size of 60 litres....

When I filled it up it took 62.02 litres to brim it, so it must have been running on fumes as I though the tank held 60litres Anyway it had done 27.5mpg which isn't too bad, she's had the car mostly for smaller runs.

The tt has a 64litre tank but i've never managed to get more than 52litres in it..... even when a range of under 20miles left was showing..... whats the most litres anyone has ever managed to actually put into the tank of a tt :?

rarely get above 50 litres. I just think the wrning light is too pessimistic. However it's not a car I relish running out of fuel in.............

... and my 16.6mpg average according to the trip was in fact 15.8mpg via manual calculation.... all bar c55miles of that tank were driving in and around central London.

I think the manual states 63 litres or 66 litres. Definitely within that range. Doesn't matter if C2 or C4. Ignore the range number unless you know the type of driving you will do as its based on a weighted average over time since last reset. Only useful point of it is to motivate you to ease on the gas pedal IMO.
