Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I have a 2005 997 with 64,035 miles. It also has 11mm on the body and 10mm from the end of the flexible hose and all around the caliper. Three nuts were extremely difficult to remove. I used PB and let them soak by wrapping them then applied heat with a MAP torch. The left front on the chassis did not move so I cut the line. It runs a short distance to a monoblock ? and is easy to replace. My flare nut wrench Kobalt did fine on the others. My advice is if you have a nut that gets damaged, replace it or the line. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Porsche 911 Carrera Brake Line Replacement - 996 (1998-2005) - 997 (2005-2012) - Pelican Parts Technical Article
