Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I connected a friends iPod for a bit and noticed that the unit seemed to be "stuttering" (i.e. significant lags between input and response). My installer thought that this might be because the car needs to be programmed for a CD changer. He also suggested that I check into downgrading to 1.0 (although I am not sure what version I am at now).... Thoughts?

POST 2Original post

Yes, go back to 1.00 firmware, and have the PIWIS tester hooked up to re-read all the nodes on the fiber optic loop. Also be sure the iPod has the latest software.

POST 3Original post

Eric, I thought v1.05 was now the recommended version? I'll downgrade... (kudos to Dension for making the firmware so easy to update) -Ian

POST 4Original post

1.05 has problems, Dension told me to stay on 1.0 as 1.05 was for Audis/Mercs, there will be a new Rom coming targeted at improving performance and fixing bugs on Porsches.
