Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
If you want to add an extended warranty, you will need to get the 111 point check done but you can only take the warranty out on the day you have the check done.
Leading evidence: 'Check done' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check done' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

PPI, definitely Phil Raby - he will check much more than the 111 point check.

There's been the odd comment on this forum about this, but I had no problems when I got the 111 point check on my car...passed with flying colours.

An OPC check only covers the items which are covered by the warranty.

Re the check, OPC Cambridge just reported using their standard checklist.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've not test driven several 996's and have a few questions.
1) Is the standard clutch feel on a 996 heavier than on a Boxster. All of the ones 2000 to 2003 cars have felt like the clutch is heavier than on my Box.
2) PPI - Is it better to get a Peter Morgan (correct name?) or Porsche PPI? It seems like the Porsche one often finds loads of issues they want fixing (by them).
Cheers
Mike
I would say very slightly, but not hugely different.
If you are doing the PPI to get a warranty, then use an OPC. If it's just for pure piece of mind, then use Peter Morgan.
Cheers,
GD
Out of interest. I'm not a PCGB member. Will I get a discount on the 111 if I am ?
I am tempted by an OPC warranty and if it had one already and was simply an extension, I'd get it. But I suspect they will ask for a load of marginal stuff to be fixed.

Also, I had the service done at the same time and this reduced the 111 charge by 50%.
I'd agree Boxster has a slightly lighter clutch.
Re the check, OPC Cambridge just reported using their standard checklist. A cam cover oil leak needed fixing and that was it.
If the car has the warranty it doesn't need a further inspection to renew it. PM me and, should you wish, I'll email the list they use to you
Targa 03, 40k miles. All OPC servicing, but was overdue it's last service by 4 months. OPC supplied from new, 1 owner. It had 2 years mf warranty + 1 year extended...it was then out of warranty for just under 2 years.
