Heres the problem: our local roads are so poor that selecting a new suspension set that is much more harsh than standard 911 C2 shocks would for me be an expensive mistake. Yes theres better body control etc, but harshness spoils the day to day driving experience for me. If I select adjustable shocks then in principle I could adjust the bump setting downwards for day to day use then make them firmer for track use. However adjustable shocks would only meet my need if the lower end of the adjustability gets down to OEM std. levels of damping. The problem is, and I guess others know this too, there is little data (I can find) to help make at least a basic judgement on shock absorber choice. Try asking Bilstein what their damping rates are, they know but will not tell anyone! You dont know what the adjustment range is for the dampers and so purchase becomes an expensive gamble. Does anyone know where shock absorber damping force data can be obtained from or have experience of the adjustment range of the KW shock absorbers? or indeed other adjustable shocks?

you don't say where you are in the country? there are plenty of indies with suspension experience in all four corners of the land.
