I ended up using the IN-V and not the starmate because I was using the Dension for audio input, but the SC1 is definitley a great unit, very similar to the XM commander.

Stratus does not fit because it uses a docking cradle port on the bottom, I tried it.

I would like to put a Sirius unit in the space below the climate control unit in the console. Which unit fits there well? I have seen a couple of posts regarding the XM units and one with a Starmate (but no pics). Some have connections on the side, which I don't want. I see there is a Status model which is gray and should fit (1.9" high). Has anyone used this model? Jeff

Well, I just ordered the Starbase SC-FM1 from Crutchfield. All of the other radios have a docking cradle which makes them too big, or connections on the side. The Starbase has a separate tuner which is mounted elsewhere. The HU is only 1 9/16" high which should fit nicely. The cord comes out the back, too. I'll post some pics after I install it. Jeff

However, if it were me, I'd go with the Stilleto SL-100 so it can be undocked, used portably, used inside, and to get some MP3 functionality. Although you will have to get way more creative with the SL-100 when it comes to installation.

Let me show you a picture of my IN-V installed: The connections are on the side, but they barely show when you are sitting farther back as the face of the unit covers up most of the plug.

Nice install. I looked at the IN-V, but I thought the connections would show. Oh well, the starbase is on the way. I think it is smaller, and should not protrude at all. I I didn't want to deal with the Stiletto. There are very few storage areas or spaces to put things!
